Ergonomic grip for long distances! Perfect fit, cushioning and comfort for the mountainbike

MTB Tech & Trail

BIKE "Trail Tip"

in the grip test of the BIKE magazine (07/20)

„A grip modelled in every detail. The 711 follows the angled shape of the fingers and maximises the contact surface of the bales without disturbing wings. This means that it remains fully suitable for off-road use and grips extremely safely and comfortably. In addition, the contact surface of the 711 is very well cushioned, and the material is extremely grippy.“

Grip size Measurement

The personal grip size is important.
Grip size is the measurement from the tip of the middle fingernger to the crook of the thumb.
In the new SQlab grip series, sizes differ in range, length (only the 702, 710) and shape.

Reliability - the raised grips keep hands on the handlebar, even things get rough
Cushioning - the added material at the end of the grips provides more "spring deflection"
One Piece - the end of the grip is closed. No bar ends necessary
Steep - the increased height extends around the grip that maximum cushioning is always provided, even in steep descents
Surface - the flattened outer shape drawn slightly forward rearward reduces pressure

Clamping on the inside –
Comfort in the outside

The 711 optimizes cushioning on the outside in every detail.

The clamping is inside and the clamping sleeve is in the inner third of the grip only. The grip is correspondingly somewhat more difficult to mount. Using a bit of brake cleaner, however, lets it slip onto the handlebar very easily and it is absolutely tight in about five seconds.

Secure grip

Angular and two-dimensional

Handlebars are round, and grips are also mostly round because it is simple. But fingers are anything but round: They easily slip on a round object and cannot hold on unlike, for instance, a flat table corner.

round = no grip round = no grip
angular & two dimensional = perfect grip angular & two dimensional = perfect grip
Werkzeug Hand

Like a tool in a hand

Only with a perfect fit do you have everything under control and can control the bike.

The Ergobar is a wave-shaped profile on the front and right side, which produces a flat, slightly angular grip bottom.

A perfect fit for angular, bent fingers.

More surface

As round as necessary and as flat as possible.

Round may sound comfortable, but round shapes on grips only produce a small, limited surface area.

An ergonomic grip with a wing reduces pressure considerably, but a secure grip may no longer be suited to all terrains under certain circumstances.

Innerbarend ready

In any case for long distances the use of the Innerbarends is recommended.

Grip models 711, 710 and 702 are Innerbarend ready.

Description at a glance

The 711 features perfect grip ergonomics for long-distance routes and use in racing on sports-oriented mountain bikes. A well thought-out, highly ergonomic shape offers an especially secure grip and comfort. The scope of delivery includes a set of grips. The clamp moved from the outside to the inside in the course of the product development and is now only at the first (inner) third. This increases the shock absorption and comfort on the hand’s outer side. In addition, the outside surface area was increased using every trick in the book, making it as comfortable as a wing grip despite not being one. As round as necessary and as flat as possible: With the 711 grip, the outer contact surface is pressed flat, thus reducing the pressure peaks many times over. The grip security is supported by the Ergobar. This results in a flat, slightly angular grip bottom and offers a perfect form fit. This allows the grip to be guided loosely while still always keeping the bike under control. The advantages of the grip are particularly noticeable at the end of a tough marathon, but they also increase the fun on long tours or quick trips after work. Increased performance through perfect ergonomics. Various rubber compounds ensure a perfect grip level and high comfort. We only use the best possible materials. This guarantees you a long service life and no sticking of the grip rubber. The personal grip size is what matters. With the 711 grip, the sizes differ in diameter and shape.

The SQlab grip series is free from the following pollutants:

Bisphenol A (BPA)

Azo dye

Pentachlorophenol (PCP)

Chromium (VI)

Furthermore, are the grips 702, 710, 711 and 70X latex free because the thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) used are not based on natural latex.
