The 611 ERGOWAVE® ltd. Tibor Simai is identical to the 611 ERGOWAVE® active Carbon apart from the Kevlar protection. With just 199 g weight it is the lightest 611 ERGOWAVE® saddle with integrated active technology. The wave-like shape and raised rear section provides perfect rearward support and an optimal pressure distribution which reaches deep into the body structures resulting in improved power transmission. The lowered nose in combination with the dip provides optimal pressure relief for the perineal area. For an even better pressure relief, especially on long technical climbs, the saddle nose of the 611 was made approx. 4 mm wider than that of the 612, but just as flat and with largest possible surface area. The padding was designed for the specific needs on the MTB with better dampening properties than the 612 making it perfect for rough off-road terrain. In place of the Kevlar side protection, a very smooth material was selected which is still extremely durable but at the same time has great dirt-repellent properties.
Tibor, born in Munich, is one of the all-time legends of the MTB world and one of the most versatile personalities of the German cycling scene. With the new ERGOWAVE® saddle shape and the return of Tibor as product design engineer SQlab sets the signal for a completely new era. SQlab crowns this success with the new limited edition Tibor Simai ERGOWAVE® saddles and the matching 711 MX grips.
Note on compatability of carbon rails:
Ensure that the seatrail clamping mechanism of your seatpost is compatible with oval shaped seatrails.
In some cases, specific seatrail clamps are available seperately to allow the fitting of saddles with oval shaped rails.
In the case of the *Ritchey WCS 1 Bolt Mast Topper the item that you would need is the 1 Bolt Clamp Kit 7x9.6mm (denoted by the letters DF).

Performance Based Ergonomics
The shape - developed in a research project and in collaboration with the University Hospital of Frankfurt and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Government funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. For the first time, we were able to calculate the forces occurring deep within the structures of the body and the maximum load between the cyclist and the bike saddle. The final result is the new ERGOWAVE saddle shape for a more ergonomically agressive sitting position on the road and mountain bike, with the top marks among the maximum load in all tests.
The correct width saddle is a prerequisite for maximum performance.

The raised back section provides more rearward support and ensures efficient power transmission.
The wave shaped ERGOWAVE® profile which contours from the rear to the front offers a perfect form-fit shape for most sitbones. The rider does not need to be seated in an inefficient and tiring sitting position and all energy can be used for forward propulsion.
Lower saddle nose
The level and lowered saddle nose applies less pressure to the sensitive areas of men and women alike.
Pelvis movement of up to 7° is made possible by the SQlab active Technology, which from a biomechanical point of view simulates the natural movement of walking and increases the efficiency of the pedalling motion. At the same time, the spinal discs are relieved and the pressure to the sitbones is reduced.
Adjustable active Technology
The slight dip in the center of the saddle reduces pressure to the sensitive tissue areas of the perineum.
Low and flat
The flat saddle nose has a slight curvature which provides maximum contact area providing and associated reduced pressure. This shape provides a narrow saddle nose which minimizes chafing on the inside of the thighs while pedalling. The SQlab MaxContact® concept has proven valuable in other race models over the years and has been improved for the new ERGOWAVE® models.
