Emma Hinze wins silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The German track rider and SQlab team rider Emma Hinze was able to take silver at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last Monday. Together with her team mate Lea Sophie Friedrich, she competed in the team sprint. In the end, the German duo was only narrowly beaten by the team from China.

In the qualification heat, the Germans were even faster than the two Chinese, who were then eight hundredths of a second faster in the final. After the award ceremony Hinze said:

"We have never ridden as fast as we did today. So it's really good, but in the first moment it's disappointing to lose the race even though you won silver. But thinking about it now, I'm really proud that we did it."

For Emma Hinze it is her first Olympic Games and thus also her first medal. In the coming days she wants to attack the front again when she competes in the sprint and keirin disciplines.
