A saddle should fit like a pair of shoes!
A prerequisite for maximum comfort and relief is the coordinated saddle width, so that it is guaranteed that your seat bones lie completely on the saddle. This is the only way to properly relieve the sensitive perineal area in men and the usually lower pubic arch in women. Available widths: 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 cm
Sleek rear & lower saddle nose
The raised back section provides more rearward support and ensures efficient power transmission. The level and lowered saddle nose applies less pressure to the sensitive areas of men and women alike.
The slight dip in the center of the saddle reduces pressure to the sensitive tissue areas of the perineum.
The wave shaped ERGOWAVE® profile which contours from the rear to the front offers a perfect form-fit shape for most sitbones. The rider does not need to be seated in an inefficient and tiring sitting position and all energy can be used for forward propulsion.
Low and flat
The flat saddle nose has a slight curvature which provides maximum contact area providing and associated reduced pressure. This shape provides a narrow saddle nose which minimizes chafing on the inside of the thighs while pedalling. The SQlab MaxContact® concept has proven valuable in other race models over the years and has been improved for the new ERGOWAVE® models.
Relief of the intervertebral discs
The biomechanically similar lateral pelvic movement of the SQlab active technology by up to 7° increases the efficiency of the pedalling movement. At the same time, the strain on the intervertebral discs is relieved and the comfort at the sit bones is increased.
