PHNTM TECHNOLOGY

Built to disappear.

Built on decades of cycling ergonomics expertise, SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology take a different approach to comfort.

Instead of relying on excessive padding and softness, SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology focus on stable support, controlled pressure distribution and reduced friction where it matters most. Developed using pressure mapping and biomechanical analysis, they are designed to improve comfort, support and riding performance without unnecessary bulk.

Designed to support – not to be noticed.

BUILT ON ERGONOMIC EXPERTISE

Comfort is not created by thickness.

For years, many cycling pads have followed the same idea:

More padding = More comfort

In reality, soft foams can compress under load. Sit bones sink deeper into the pad, pressure shifts toward sensitive areas, friction increases and support becomes less stable over time.

SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology were developed to solve this challenge differently.

Using super-high-density foams, ultra-thin constructions and advanced shear-force management, they provide stable support under load while allowing natural movement on the bike.

WHY SQ-PADS WITH PHNTM TECHNOLOGY?

COMFORT THROUGH SCIENCE.

DENSITY OVER VOLUME

Stable support instead of excessive cushioning.

Most riders associate comfort with thicker padding.

SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology prove the opposite.

Using super-high-density foams with densities ranging from 280 to 360 kg/m³, the pad remains dimensionally stable under load and supports the sit bones with precision. Pressure is distributed in a controlled way without excessive bulk.

Benefits

  • Ultra-thin construction from 4–8 mm

  • Stable sit bone support

  • Controlled pressure distribution

  • Long-lasting comfort

  • Reduced bulk and improved freedom of movement

SHEAR-FORCE PROTECTION

Less friction. More comfort.

Comfort is not only about managing pressure.

Every pedal stroke creates internal shear forces within the skin and tissue. These forces are one of the main reasons for discomfort during long rides.

SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology use an integrated TPE shear layer that absorbs unwanted movement before it reaches the skin.

The result is reduced friction, less irritation and improved comfort over long distances.

BUILT FOR MOVEMENT

Designed to move with the rider.

The best pad should never feel like an obstacle.

SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology follow the rider's natural movement rather than working against it. The slim construction and adaptive materials create a second-skin feel that remains stable while allowing unrestricted movement.

TECHNOLOGY INSIDE

LAB-PROVEN PRESSURE RELIEF

Measured where it matters.

At SQlab, comfort is developed through measurable data.

Using pressure mapping technology, pressure distribution between rider, saddle and pad can be visualized and optimized. These insights are the foundation of SQ-Pads with PHNTM Technology.

Compared to a conventional 16 mm pad, the SQ-Pad 11 achieved a pressure peak reduction of up to 49.7%, demonstrating that effective comfort depends on intelligent pressure management rather than thickness alone.

The Result

  • Up to 50% less pressure peaks

  • Improved pressure distribution

  • Stable sit bone support

  • Reduced discomfort on long rides
