Ensures a natural transition from the lower arm to the hand. This reduces strain on the wrists and shoulders, improving comfort and control on technical trails and long descents.
Positions the elbows naturally for an active, dynamic riding posture – ideal for technical terrain and aggressive trail riding.
Helps fine-tune your handlebar height for a balanced posture—whether for control on descents or comfort on long climbs. Choose from 15 mm, 30 mm, or 45 mm to suit your setup.
Backsweep options
12° Backsweep
For a more upright sitting position on the All Mountain and Enduro.
The 12° backsweep ensures a straight transition from the forearm to the hand in a short reach and rather upright riding position and protects the wrist from extreme stresses
The 4° upsweep determines the elbow position for the active riding style
Three different heights (low, med, high) provide an individual adjustment of the sitting position
16° Backsweep
For a more stretched sitting position on the Hardtail or Racefully.
The 16° backsweep ensures a straight transition from the forearm to the hand when the saddle is in an extended position and protects the wrist from extreme loads
The 4° upsweep determines the elbow position for the active riding style
Three different heights (low, med, high) provide an individual adjustment of the sitting position
Unbreakable!
The BIKE magazine has tested in its issue 04/2019 more than 70 handlebar stem combinations for their break resistance.
The result: Only Syntace and SQlab manage the load test without damage!

Toller Lenker
Der 30X Alu 12° mit 30 mm Rise ist für mich der optimale Lenker, es passt einfach alles.
Perfect if you have wrist issues
Over the past handful of years I have started paying more attention to my cockpit setup. I started with slightly more back sweep on my bars going from an 8° to 10° degree a few years ago. This eliminated some shoulder pain and numbness in my hands on long descends. But after a couple of years I started develop pinky sided wrist pain. This was diagnosed as a TFCC strain, seen in biking and climbing as the wrists take a lot of abuse. I decided that I needed to go more extreme, and SQ labs is the only provider of handlebars with more back sweep. Bonus, the clamp diameter size on these the smaller 31.8, but I'll get to that in a minute. The larger amount of back sweep fits my body much better. It leaves my wrists in a more neutral position while climbing and while descending. I'm still able to keep my elbows up in an aggressive position for descending but my hands and wrists feel more comfortable. I was a little skeptical of the smaller clamp diameter, and used an SQ labs shim to make it work with my stem. The smaller clamp diameter really allows the bar to flex a little more and provides quite a bit more comfort in the chattery stuff. I have gone on some rowdy trails now with this setup and really like it. I highly recommend 12° bars. I am considering trying the 16° bars just to see what it's like. It may be a little too extreme for me, but for certain applications it may be more comfortable.
