The M-D Line was developed for maximum relief of sensitive areas. A pressure distribution according to medical aspects. M-D Line stands for maximized dip. In combination with the high classic step shape, distributes the body weight to the sit bones. The 621 M-D active 2.1 has a relief of 85%.
ERGOLUX® means comfort
The two-stage ERGOLUX® shape supports balanced pressure distribution between the sit bones and the perineal area – ideal for a more upright riding position. Thanks to the wave-shaped contour, pressure is spread over a wide area of the sit bones. Compared to the M-D Line, the difference in height between the seating surface and the relief zone is more moderate – for noticeable comfort on everyday city rides or leisurely tours. The 621 ERGOLUX® active 2.1 provides up to 70% relief in the perineal region.
FAQs
The 621 M-D active 2.1 uses a model-specific sizing system. For a sit bone distance of up to and including 12 cm, we recommend the 18 cm saddle width. If your sit bone distance is over 12 cm, either the 21 cm or 24 cm version may be suitable.
Yes. The 621 M-D active 2.1 is E-Bike Ready and designed specifically for city riding. It is therefore suitable for a comfort-focused, upright riding position in everyday urban use. The maximum permissible load is 150 kg.
The M-D (Maximized Dip) design features a pronounced dip intended to reduce pressure around the perineal and pubic areas. The 621 M-D provides approximately 85% pressure relief in the perineal area. Its wide support surface and Comfort Foam complement this design for a comfortable, upright riding position.
The active technology allows the pelvis to move laterally while pedalling, which can help relieve strain on the lumbar spine, pelvis and hips. On City models, the active switch underneath the saddle offers two settings for adjusting this side-to-side movement to suit individual comfort preferences.
The 621 M-D active 2.1 is designed for DIN/ASTM Category 1 use (paved roads and paths with continuous ground contact) and is intended for City riding. Its focus is on urban cycling and comfortable riding on paved surfaces rather than demanding trails or jumps.

Comfortable for long rides with a very upright riding posture
The depression in the middle does a good job of protecting the 'family jewels' from discomfort. My only negative observation is that my sit bones tend to slide forward so I have to reposition them frequently.
Solved sore coccyx problem
I was worried I’d be spending a lot of money and not solve the problem I had of a sore coccyx, but I’m so glad I bought this. Cycling is comfortable again. I cycle about 1hr a day for my commute on a Pointer city bike.
