SQlab Wins Design and Innovation Award

The sustainable ClipOn system

We are thrilled to announce that SQlab has won the prestigious Design and Innovation Award for our innovative ClipOn system! This recognition celebrates our commitment to sustainable engineering and ergonomic excellence.

Our ClipOn system integrates the proven concepts of sit bone measurement and the SQlab saddle width system into a groundbreaking technology. By allowing the easy attachment of different saddle widths and models to a single saddle base, we offer cyclists the ultimate in customization, comfort, and sustainability.

Unlike standard saddles, which often end up discarded, the ClipOn system provides a greener alternative right from the start. With a choice of four saddle widths, shops can quickly adjust saddles to suit individual riders, and if comfort needs change, only the shell needs to be replaced — not the entire saddle.

This thoughtful and sustainable approach won the jury over, and we are proud to be pushing the boundaries of design while conserving valuable resources. The ClipOn system perfectly aligns with our mission to enhance cycling experiences with sustainable and innovative solutions.

An Award for Green Engineering

The Jury Verdict

"With its ClipOn system, SQlab expands its “Made in Germany” lineup with asustainable, flexible saddle system for MTBs, eMTBs, and trekking bikes. This interchangeable setup, with a saddle shell and four possible widths, helps conserve valuable resources: while standard saddles on new bikes often end up in the trash, the ClipOn system offers a greener option from the start. Shops can adjust saddles to fit customers right on the spot. If the width turns out to be uncomfortable later, only the shell is swapped out, not the entire saddle. The jury was convinced by this thoughtful and sustainable approach."

One Base - No Limits

The SQlab saddles 611, 610 M-D and 6OX ensure more riding pleasure on any terrain - whether trail, trekking or gravity. Thanks to clever design and individual adjustment, you sit better, pedal more efficiently and can concentrate fully on your bike adventure - whether alone or sharing the bike with others.

611: Perfect for mountain bikers. With the usual raised rear for optimum pressure distribution and a wider nose that relieves pressure on the perineal area on climbs. Available in different widths to adapt individually to your sit bones.

610 M-D: The all-rounder for trekking and touring. Maximum pressure relief in the perineal area (up to 82%!), combined with active technology for more pelvic movement and intervertebral disc friendliness.

6OX: The saddle for tough use in gravity and E-MTB areas. With its robust construction, it offers secure support and control on demanding terrain. The wide saddle nose reduces pressure when sitting on steep passages, while the ERGOWAVE® shape ensures an optimal sitting position. Thanks to the active technology, the saddle follows the pedaling movement, protects the spine and improves power transmission.

The different widths ensure that every rider - regardless of sit bone distance - is perfectly supported. Simply brilliant when sharing a bike with others. For the perfect fit: measure the sit bone distance and ride off!

The ClipOn Base

Backfriendly with active - technology

At the heart of the ClipOn system lies the SQlab ClipOn Base (saddle shell), which forms the solid foundation for all saddle covers. This versatile base is width-independent, allowing for easy attachment of various covers, while maintaining optimal support. Equipped with our active system, the ClipOn Base also guarantees a back-friendly riding experience, improving comfort during long rides. Additionally, the durable S-Tube rails provide high load capacity, ensuring the base is as robust as it is reliable. With the ClipOn system, we offer a truly flexible and sustainable solution for every cyclist.
