Bike insoles concept

More Power. Less Discomfort.

SQlab Insoles for Cyclists

Numb toes, aching knees, painful pressure points – most cyclists know the struggle. The cause is often not just the bike, but the foot itself. As muscles fatigue, the natural arch of the foot collapses. The result: reduced stability, increased discomfort, and inefficient power transfer.

The solution: SQlab Insoles

They support your arches, activate the muscles, and provide the stability you need for efficient pedaling – from the pedal axle all the way up to your hips.

How we tested:

Tests were conducted in the laboratory with 10 cyclists. Seven different insoles were compared.
In addition, pressure measurements were taken in the shoe and knee movements were analyzed using a high-speed camera.
Finally, the cyclists' feedback on comfort was recorded and evaluated.

The results at a glance:

An 8% reduction in lateral knee movement was measured in 60% of test subjects.
It was also found that a larger contact surface means greater comfort—the better the foot is supported, the more relaxed the ride. These findings were directly incorporated into the development of the SQ-Insoles ONE11.

SQlab insoles are designed to provide optimal support for the individual shape of your foot. They offer longitudinal arch support for stability, a pad to relieve pressure on the midfoot, and lateral forefoot support for perfect power transfer.

How does the foot measurement work?

SQlab Lab 2025

Step 1

Place the included SQlab measurement sheet on a hard, even surface.

Stand evenly on the paper – ideally barefoot – and distribute your weight equally between both feet.

Make sure you stay relaxed – this ensures an accurate arch imprint.

Step 2

Use a pen to carefully trace the outline of both feet.

Then, follow the enclosed visual guide to determine your foot type based on your arch height:

High Arch, Medium Arch, Low Arch, Flat Arch

Step 3

Determine your leg axis: bow legs, straight legs, or X-legs.

Combine your foot type with your leg axis to choose the right insole.

Example: High Arch (A) + X-legs (3) → A3 MED
