Grip Size Matters

In gravity riding, control starts at the hands. High impacts, hard braking and fast direction changes demand a grip that fits precisely, otherwise control gets vague.

The 7OX 2.0 Pro is available in three grip sizes, based on hand circumference. The right size allows the hand to wrap the grip completely, creating a defined contact area and a stable hand position when loads increase.

Analyzing grip forces

High grip forces, constant braking and repeated impacts create significant loads on the hands and forearms – a common challenge in aggressive MTB and gravity riding. In internal test setups, SQlab analyzed grip forces, handlebar vibrations and muscle activation patterns using electromyography (EMG). These tests helped understand how different grip materials influence pressure distribution and rider control under load.

Based on these findings, a dedicated TPE compound was developed for the 7OX 2.0 Pro. The material is tuned to smooth pressure peaks, manage vibrations and maintain a defined grip feel when forces increase. The result is a grip that remains predictable in rough terrain, helping riders maintain control without constantly readjusting their hand position.

Grip & Saddle

The 7OX 2.0 Pro grip pairs with the 611 Infinergy® saddle in the matching ION limited design. Both components represent key contact points between rider and bike.

Developed to work together, grip and saddle support a defined riding position and consistent bike control – from the handlebar to the saddle.
