VSF certified - Best ergonomics

“The shape and size concept of SQlab offers an outstanding selection of different grips for every application. The ergonomic shape effectively supports the hands, the unusual grip edge provides "grip" and more secure. All models are available in three sizes, which differ in diameter, length and shape.” VSF

Ergonomics thought through down to the last detail

Ergobar

The Ergobar has a wave-shaped elevation on the underside. This results in a flat, slightly angular grip underside. A perfect match for the angular, angled fingers.

The slight wave shape of the Ergobar reflects the different finger lengths of the hand.

Handlebars are round, and grips are also mostly round because it is simple. But fingers are anything but round: They easily slip on a round object and cannot hold on unlike, for instance, a flat table corner.

Pressure Mapping at the SQlab Test Lab

Conventional round grips create extremely high pressure on the outer edge of the grip. This often leads to irritation of the ulnar nerve, resulting in unpleasant symptoms like pressure pain, numbness, or tingling in the ring and little fingers. The cause: minimal contact area due to the round shape combined with a typically thin rubber layer — both of which lead to concentrated pressure points.

Ergonomic SQlab Grips
SQlab grips feature flat, ergonomically shaped support surfaces and an extra-soft outer material that distributes pressure far more effectively. This noticeably reduces stress on the ulnar nerve — for greater comfort, fewer complaints, and a completely new level of pressure relief in the world of MTB grips.

The 711 features perfect grip ergonomics for long-distance routes and use in racing on sports-oriented mountain bikes. A well thought-out, highly ergonomic shape offers an especially secure grip and comfort. The scope of delivery includes a set of grips. The clamp moved from the outside to the inside in the course of the product development.

This increases the shock absorption and comfort on the hand’s outer side.

In addition, the outside surface area was increased using every trick in the book, making it as comfortable as a wing grip despite not being one. As round as necessary and as flat as possible: With the 711 grip, the outer contact surface is pressed flat, thus reducing the pressure peaks many times over. The grip security is supported by the Ergobar. This results in a flat, slightly angular grip bottom and offers a perfect form fit. This allows the grip to be guided loosely while still always keeping the bike under control.

The advantages of the grip are particularly noticeable at the end of a tough marathon, but they also increase the fun on long tours or quick trips after work. Increased performance through perfect ergonomics. Various rubber compounds ensure a perfect grip level and high comfort. We only use the best possible materials.

This guarantees you a long service life and no sticking of the grip rubber. The personal grip size is what matters. With the 711 grip, the sizes differ in diameter and shape.
