Grip Size Matters

Grip size Measurement

Your grip size is defined by the distance from the tip of your middle finger to the crook of your thumb – because that’s exactly how you wrap your hand around the grip.

Best ergonomics

“The shape and size concept of SQlab offers an outstanding selection of different grips for every application. The ergonomic shape effectively supports the hands, the unusual grip edge provides "grip" and more secure. All models are available in three sizes, which differ in diameter, length and shape.” VSF

Ergonomics down to the last detail

Ergobar

The Ergobar is a wave-shaped ridge on the underside of the grip, creating a flat, slightly angular profile – perfectly matched to the natural shape and position of your fingers. Its subtle wave mirrors the varying lengths of the fingers, providing intuitive orientation and added support.

While handlebars and grips are usually round for simplicity, your fingers aren’t. A round shape offers little hold – unlike the edge of a table, which gives grip and control. The Ergobar brings this principle to the handlebar – for more control, less fatigue.

Pressure Mapping

SQlab Test Lab

Conventional Grips – High Pressure, Low Comfort
Standard round grips focus pressure on the outer edge of the hand, especially where the ulnar nerve runs. This often causes discomfort, numbness, or tingling in the ring and little fingers. The reason: a small contact area paired with thin rubber padding — a setup that leads to intense pressure points and nerve irritation.

Ergonomic SQlab Grips – Designed for Relief
SQlab grips are engineered with flat, anatomically shaped support zones and a soft, pressure-distributing outer layer. The result: a significantly reduced load on the ulnar nerve and a noticeable boost in comfort. Less pressure, fewer issues — and a new benchmark in MTB grip ergonomics.

Designed for long distances, XC races, and marathons: The SQlab 711 grips combine ergonomic comfort with sporty control. The flattened outer side specifically reduces pressure peaks, while the integrated ergobar ensures a secure, natural grip position.

Key features:
Flattened outer side - Reduces pressure peaks for improved comfort
Ergobar – Secure grip with less effort
