Grip and Comfort

A special rubber compound and the integrated, grippy diamond structure, similar to the SQlab 7OX grip, ensure that the Gravel handlebar tape remains perfectly grippy in all weather conditions. Micro-vibrations are dampened by an absorbent layer and premature muscle fatigue is counteracted.

Simply wrapped - our sizing system

The three rows of knobs serve as a guide for the grip size or wrap thickness. The individually required wrap thickness can be determined using our template or at a SQlab authorized dealer.

Installation

Vibration analysis

We have extensively tested the 714 handlebar tape and examined its damping properties. Our results clearly showed that the micro-vibration-absorbing layer can effectively absorb road vibrations. Compared to a comparable damping handlebar tape, the 714 handlebar tape has an 11% lower Root-Mean-Square (RMS) when riding in the lower link, a 13% lower RMS in the upper link and a 14% lower RMS when riding in the brake grips. This indicates a higher vibration absorption of the SQlab 714.
